Hello!
GOKTUG DUMAN
Design Leader | Innovator
I design and lead hardware products that turn emerging technology, human insight, and craft into shipped devices and new businesses.
Across 10+ years, I've taken products from first sketch to production β creating design languages, leading global teams, and shaping AI-native hardware.
My experience spans Motorola Solutions, TAIT Communications, and GGPT's founding AI hardware team, plus my own venture, LID-O.com. As a named inventor on 36 issued U.S. patents and 4 more pending, I combine design craft, engineering, and hands-on execution from concept to market.
My current focus spans AI hardware, product and industrial design strategy, and emerging technology β working across concept development, cross-functional engineering, and manufacturing.
A consistent theme in my career is owning the full architecture: sketch to CAD to tooling to shipped product, while raising the craft bar for every team I join.
I welcome connections with innovators, engineers, and teams building bold, boundary-pushing hardware.

Hello from Jeff Grant!
Hello IDiyas Community!
I design and build enterprise growth engines that turn emerging technologies, intellectual property, human insight, and strategic partnerships into differentiated products, platforms, and new businesses.
Across 30+ years, I have identified high-value opportunities, mobilized investment and talent, and led the path from early concept to commercialization and scalable enterprise impact.
My experience spans Hayward, InVue, Bank of America, and IDEO, where I co-founded and led the Zero20 innovation practice, plus earlier work on NASAβs Gravity Probe-B mission at Stanford. As a named inventor on 120+ U.S. patents, I combine learning agility, technical depth, human-centered design, business strategy, and enterprise leadership.
My current focus spans enterprise innovation, advanced technology, AI, product and platform strategy, IP, open innovation, partnerships, and inorganic growth, working across internal development, research partnerships, licensing, venture pathways, and M&A.
A consistent theme in my career is building systems that enable others to perform beyond their current limits by activating employees, customers, researchers, and partners as contributors to innovation and growth.
I specialize in connecting disciplines that are often siloed to turn complex opportunities into enduring enterprise value.
I welcome connections with inventors, researchers, technology-transfer organizations, startups, strategic partners, and innovation leaders exploring high-potential technologies and collaborations.

π Drop your content requests here
This is where you shape what IDiyas covers next. Newsletter stories, video topics, or a stat worth digging into. If you want to see it, put it here.
To make it easy, just answer one of these:
π A story we should cover. An inventor, a patent, a lawsuit, or a "how did this even get granted?" moment. What is it, and why is it interesting?
π₯ A video idea. A format, a question, or an oddity you'd watch. (Physical-object oddities tend to be our breakout hits, so weird is welcome.)
π A stat to investigate. A number, a trend, or a "someone should chart this" hunch about patents, filings, or inventors.
No need to be polished. One line is fine. Best ideas get built, and you'll get the credit when they ship.
I'll go first: π
How to Use an Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) + Free Template
An Invention Disclosure Form (IDF) is a formal, confidential document used to capture the technical and functional details of a new invention before filing a patent application or sharing it publicly.
What an IDF Should Be Used For
Documenting Date of Conception: Creates a dated, verifiable record of when the idea originated, the core problem it solves, and who contributed to it (critical for inventorship determination).
Prior Art & Novelty Assessment: Helps patent attorneys, IP committees, or patent agents conduct prior art searches to evaluate novelty, non-obviousness, and patentability.
IP Strategy & Commercial Evaluation: Allows internal review teams to determine whether to file a provisional or non-provisional patent, maintain the innovation as a trade secret, or release it openly.
Drafting Patent Applications: Serves as the primary reference document for patent attorneys to write claims, specifications, and technical flowcharts.

Join The IDiyas Foundry Community
Welcome to The IDiyas Foundry π This is where inventors, IP attorneys, R&D folks, and investors swap notes on what's actually happening in patents β the wins, the rejections, the war stories, and the trends worth watching. New here? Start with two things: 1. Drop a quick intro in Introductions β who you are and what you're working on. 2. Tell us the last patent that surprised you (good or bad) in Patent Wins & War Stories. No pitch decks required. Just show up, ask questions, and share what you're seeing.
