Systems and techniques for wireless communications are disclosed. A method includes determining an active interference cancellation (AIC) area for sidelink communication protection and identifying frequency subcarriers to reduce interference within the AIC area.

A sensing signal is transmitted, and a detected signal is combined with a unique modulation sequence assigned to the surface, allowing the device to determine the surface’s presence in a geographic region.

Techniques for environment sensing involve coordination among base stations. A transmitter base station configures and sends an RF sensing signal, while a receiver base station uses the signal to detect target objects.

A base station receives information about a repeater’s second interface via its first interface, determines a configuration, and communicates it back. The repeater uses the received configuration to set up its second interface.

Eugene Antony Whang

Interestingly, outside of Apple, Whang has a vibrant second career as a DJ and music label owner. He goes by the name “Eug” and runs Public Release Recordings, a label known for its underground electronic music. He also organizes popular parties in the Bay Area.

A method involves a device determining candidate resources based on a threshold, selecting a resource within a specific time interval, and transmitting sidelink information on the selected resource.

An embodiment describes a method for an RX UE in wireless communication, involving performing automatic gain control (AGC) in an aggregation set and receiving a sidelink signal based on the AGC. The aggregation set starts from a predefined slot based on the number of slots in the set.

Shan Liu

A method involves receiving a current picture and two reference pictures, selecting a weighting pattern, and deriving weights for sub-blocks in the reference pictures. The weights are applied to the sub-blocks, and the current block is decoded using weighted bi-prediction.

Methods for video encoding involve encoding prediction information, generating transform coefficient blocks, adjusting sizes to match the secondary transform core, and encoding the block using secondary transform coefficients.

Satoshi Seo

Satoshi Seo completed the Master’s Program of Applied Chemistry at Graduate School of Engineering of The University of Tokyo in 2000. In April of the same year, he joined Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd., and has been involved in R&D of OLED for more than 20 years. Satoshi served as General Manager of OEL division, General Manager of Intellectual Property Division, Director and Corporate Officer, and then assumed the position of Representative Director and President in August 2023.
