Assaf Govari

World Wide VP of Advanced R&D for Biosense Webster a Johnson & Johnson Company.

Patent 12268436 – Systems and methods of ablating cardiac tissue.

The system includes a display with a user interface and a processor that controls electrodes on a radiofrequency balloon catheter for tissue ablation. It determines the likelihood of PVI success based on ablation parameters and presents visual indicators on the display reflecting success predictions for each electrode.

Austin Grant Walters

Founder at IP Copilot.

Patent 12272196 – Systems and methods for providing a secure physical storage system.

A storage box is registered with location and security data, verified, and recorded on the blockchain. A user device is assigned the box and an identity token. When the token is received, the system unlocks the box.

Yushu Zhang

Standards Engineer at Google.

Yushu Zhang received his Master’s degree in communication and information systems from Beijing Jiaotong University, China, in 2011.

Patent 12273898 – Enhanced dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) in cell groups.

The sSCell can schedule a primary cell (SpCell) in a master or secondary cell group. It may be activated, deactivated, or enter dormancy, with support for RLM, BFR, and cell grouping. UE-specific search spaces (USS) with fallback or non-fallback DCI enhance DSS.

Patent 12273169 – Dynamically beamformed control channel for beamformed cells.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods enable dynamic beamforming in control channels by transmitting downlink control messages over multiple OFDM symbols in a subframe. Different symbols can use different beamforming parameters and directions. Beam parameters and the number of OFDM symbols can be adjusted dynamically across subframes.

Jerome Henry

Wireless Research Engineer at Cisco.

Patent 12273787 – Prioritized scheduling for UWB ranging.

A control device assigns ranging priorities to mobile devices, uses collision mappings to assess signal collision risks between device pairs, and creates a ranging schedule based on priorities and collision data. It then sends commands to execute UWB ranging procedures as scheduled.

Charles Howard Cella

Managing Director at Strong Force Catalyst.

Patent 12271382 – Query prediction modeling for distributed databases.

A computer-implemented method for optimizing a distributed database includes receiving query logs at an aggregator, creating a prediction model, forecasting a future query for an edge device, and sending the relevant data to the edge device ahead of time.

Zhe Lin

Senior Principal Scientist at Adobe.

He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in May 2009. Prior to this, he earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in August 2004, and his B.Eng. in Automatic Control from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Dr. Lin has been with Adobe Research since May 2009, where his research interests include computer vision, image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.

Patent 12272127 – Detecting digital objects and generating object masks on device.

Systems and methods generate object masks in digital images using a detection-masking neural network pipeline. Detection heads identify objects by class, applying multi-scale synchronized batch normalization. A masking head generates masks for detected objects, and post-processing filters out low-quality results.

Patent 12271983 – Generating unified embeddings from multi-modal canvas inputs for image retrieval.

Systems and methods enable related image search and modification via a unified interface. A digital image and search input—potentially multi-modal (image + text)—are processed to retrieve results using a weighted query or input embedding. Retrieved results can be used to modify the original image.

Dongguk Lim

LG Electronics Senior Researcher.

Patent 12273285 – LTF compressed transmission.

In a wireless LAN system, a station (STA) generates long training field (LTF) symbols for multiple streams (e.g., first to fourth), each using different LTF sequences. These sequences may be multiplied by the same element from a P matrix. The STA then transmits a PHY protocol data unit (PPDU) containing the LTF symbols.

Moon-il Lee

Sr. Director at InterDigital, Inc.

Patent 12273760 – Systems and methods for aperiodic measurement reference signal transmission in multiple antenna systems.

Systems and methods enable determining two DCIs to identify active A-CSI-RSs and a subset of them. A WTRU uses the full set for RE muting and the subset for CSI measurement.

Andrew A Owings

Innovator at Nike.

Patent 12268282 – Article of footwear with a tensioning system including a guide assembly.

An article with an automatic tensioning system includes a lace guide assembly with a lower guide and two upper guides, each having channels for a tensioning member. As the tensioning member tightens, the upper guides move towards the lower guide, pulling the straps to tighten the upper around the foot.

Douglas T Gjerde

Chief Executive Officer at VosBio, Inc.

Patent 12269012 – Columns and methods of use for analytical standards and compounds.

This invention uses solid phase extraction (SPE) media to store analytical standards or compounds, including PFAS, in a stable, adsorbed state. These compounds can be applied via column methods and later eluted using a solvent or reagent.

Subhabrata Bapi Sen

Mr. Subhabrata Sen earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering and Statistics from the Indian Institute of Technology and his MS and PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley. He spent 25 years as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, leading IP Service Design, Network Design, and Software Testing for AT&T, Sprint, Lucent, and as a Defense Contractor with Security Clearance.

In 2010, he founded Sen Analytics and served as its Chief Technical Officer. He also taught Computer Science and Analytics as an adjunct professor at Pace University, Rutgers, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Patent 12273576 – Bitrate adaptation and prefetching for short-form video.

A method involves getting a video playlist and max streaming limit, selecting the next video file, choosing chunk variants based on max and current streaming values, and downloading them to the device buffer.
