Multiple communication paths are pre-established between a User Equipment (UE) and a wireless network, including at least one relay path via another UE. An explicit signal triggers the UE to switch between these paths. This approach enables fast, low-latency switching with minimal or no traffic loss.

Patent 12284590 – Methods, apparatus, and systems for fast path switching in wireless communications with user equipment (UE) cooperation.

Toni Weinschenk

Chief Innovation Officer Immatics Biotechnologies | Immatics US, Inc.

Patent 12281146 – Peptides and combination of peptides for use in immunotherapy against lung cancer, including NSCLC, SCLC and other cancers.

This invention relates to tumor-associated peptides for cancer immunotherapy, used in vaccines, T-cell stimulation, or as targets for antibodies and other binding molecules.

Vasanthan Raghavan

Principal Engineer at Qualcomm

Dr. Raghavan received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI

Patent 12284013 – Perception-assisted beam management procedures.

This disclosure relates to wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may indicate to the network if it supports perception-assisted beam management, and receive configuration based on that capability.

Sangwon Kim

LG Electronics Chief Research Engineer.

SangWon Kim received his B.S. degree from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea in 2002 and an M.S. degree from Korea University in 2013.

Patent 12284794 – Electronic device including thermal diffusion member.

An electronic device includes a thermal diffusion member to reduce hot spots. It features multiple DDICs in a non-display area, a circuit board with a T-CON IC overlapping some DDICs, a flexible board connecting them, and a thermal diffusion member between the circuit board and display panel.

Brian T Schowengerdt

Brian Schowengerdt is a Co-Founder of Magic Leap, a wearable technology that enables humans to interact with digital devices in a completely visually cinematic way. He serves the same company as the chief science and experience officer.

Patent 12282170 – Augmented and virtual reality display systems with correlated in-coupling and out-coupling optical regions for efficient light utilization.

AR/VR systems use waveguides with in-coupling and out-coupling regions to efficiently project light into the user’s eye. Each in-coupling region may uniquely correspond to an out-coupling region to display clear virtual images.

Mario Rosario Carlone, Jr

Worked at Pioneer Hi-Bred International.

Patent 12279580 – Maize hybrid X08V879.

A novel maize variety, X08V879, along with its seeds, plants, and parts, is disclosed. It is produced by crossing inbred maize lines. Methods for breeding, modifying, and using X08V879, including trait introgression and genetic transformation, are also described.

Tsung-Han Tsai

Product Technology Quality Reliability at TSMC.

Patent 12284732 – Electronic device.

An electronic device includes a light conversion element in a partition opening above an electroluminescence element. An intermediate layer covers both and is thicker above the light conversion element than the partition.

A lighting device has two types of units with different light outputs. The first unit’s sub peak intensity is 0.1%–10% of its main peak and lower than the second unit’s sub peak.

Patent №: 12282183 – Lighting device.

Mahmoud Yousef Ghannam

Technical Expert – Research and Advanced Engineering at Ford Motor Company. Adjunct Professor – UDM and YIT.

Ghannam earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Detroit, Michigan, and also holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Patent 12283114 – Vehicle lane boundary detection.

A system determines lane information using forward-facing camera data. It detects visible lane boundaries, predicts lane edges from road features, and defines the vehicle’s driving path accordingly.

Meng-Han Lin

Meng-Han received his B.S. degree in physics in 2004 from the National Central University, Taoyuan, Taiwan, and a M.S. degree in electronics engineering in 2006 from the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, where he is currently working toward a Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Electronics.

A semiconductor device is manufactured with a memory cell area and a surrounding ring structure area. A substrate protrusion is formed in the ring area, covered with a high-k dielectric film and a polysilicon film.

Patent 12284806 – Semiconductor device and method of manufacturing the same.

Robert Peter Hodgkins

Research Science Consultant at Aramco.

Dr. Robert Hodgkins is a Senior Scientist at Saudi Aramco’s Research and Development Center, specializing in catalyst development, aromatics upgrading, and converting refinery waste into valuable products. Since joining Aramco in 2014, he has led multiple technology-driven R&D projects aligned with refinery needs.

He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews, UK, and previously worked at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre, where he led the development of next-generation zeolite-based emission control technologies. His research focuses on nanoporous materials for applications in catalysis, diagnostics, and more.

Patent 12281022 – Modified zeolites that include hafnium-containing organometallic moieties and methods for making such.

Disclosed are modified zeolites with microporous frameworks (≤2 nm) made of silicon and oxygen. These zeolites include organometallic moieties with hafnium, bonded via secondary amine groups that link the hafnium to the silicon in the framework.

Susumu Kawashima

Susumu works in the Semiconductor Division.

Patent 12282240 – Display device and electronic device.

A display device includes pixel blocks with a shared first circuit that adds data from a source driver, and second circuits with display elements that use the added data. Sharing the first circuit among pixels increases the aperture ratio and improves image quality.

Gene Wesley Marsh

Senior Director at Qualcomm.

Patent 12283004 – Techniques to facilitate a cloud-based vehicle XR experience.

Methods and devices enable cloud-based vehicle XR by requesting a session, sending user data, and receiving rendering info based on that data. The session includes XR elements for both the vehicle and user.
